Get Calls Flowing

Step 2 of 5 · The Search-to-Call System

Website structure that mirrors your profile

Your website should be a mirror of your Google Business Profile: one real page for each category and each service, linked to each other, with the right structured data — layered onto the site you already have.

Why at this stage

Once the profile is right, Google looks to the website to confirm it. A profile that says "water heater repair" with no page about water heater repair is a weak signal. A profile and a site that agree, page for page, is a strong one.

Structure is step two of how we get plumbers into Google's top 3: the profile says what you do, and the site proves it.

What’s included

What we actually do

Markup is done to Google's documentation for LocalBusiness structured data, then checked in Google's own testing tool — not guessed.

  • A gap map: every category and service on your profile versus every page on your site, so you can see exactly what's missing.

  • A dedicated landing page for each secondary category and each service, each with its own purpose and copy — not a template with the city name swapped.

  • Internal linking in the body of the pages (not just menus), so link authority flows to the pages that need to rank.

  • Schema markup on key pages — business, service, and FAQ — validated with Google's testing tools.

  • Technical fixes that are actually broken: canonicals, indexing blocks, missing titles, redirect chains.

What it’s not

  • Rebuilding a website that's already ranking. We add to it; we don't tear it down.

  • Doorway pages or near-identical pages for nearby towns.

  • Hiding content in accordions or tabs to stuff keywords.

If this is new to you

"Structure" just means: does your site have a page for each thing you do, and do those pages point to each other? Most plumber sites have a Services page with a list. That's a starting point, not a structure.

Who this matters most for

Situations where step 2 does the heavy lifting

  • I'm not in the top 3

Customers search, and a competitor gets the call. Start with the profile, not the website.

  • I rank near my shop, nowhere else

Proximity is doing the work. Structure and content extend your reach across the radius you drive.

  • I got your text or email

You've seen your map. Here's what it means and what the next step looks like.

  • I want to stop depending on ads

Ads stop the day you stop paying. A map-pack position keeps working. Both can run together.

Not sure which one you are? Two questions tell you if structure is the missing piece.

Here, specifically

Website structure for Chicagoland plumbers

Many of the suburban plumber sites we look at share a shape: a homepage, a Services page with a bulleted list, and nothing for Google to match to the profile's categories — and that's true of plenty of companies with hundreds of reviews. Reviews build trust; they don't tell Google which services you offer.

Structure fixes that without touching what already ranks. A Naperville or Joliet plumber whose profile lists sewer line repair, water heater installation, and drain cleaning gets one real page for each, written for that service, linked from the category above it and back up to the homepage. The pages carry Service markup pointing at one business entity, so Google reads the site and the profile as the same company.

We also work with the platform you're on. Some page builders make internal links or schema awkward by default; when yours is one of them, we say so at the start rather than in month two.

Website structure: questions plumbers ask

My site is on Wix / WordPress / GoHighLevel. Does that matter?

Usually not. We work in whatever platform you have. A few builders make some fixes harder (nofollow links by default, limited schema), and we'll tell you if yours is one of them.

Will you redesign my website?

No. This is not a web-design service. If your site is genuinely holding you back visually, we'll say so, but the work here is pages, links, and markup.

Who writes the pages?

We draft them with AI tooling, then edit every page by hand for accuracy and for what you actually offer. Nothing publishes without your review, and no service gets a page unless you provide it.
